Care and Instructions

Water Resistance

The ARDIO Caribe is waterproof up to 200m as long as the crown is securely tightened. The supplied tropic strap is waterproof as well. All exposed metal parts are made of 316L stainless steel to protect against corrosion.

Please note that the supplied leather strap is not meant to be submerged.

Winding & Setting Your Watch

The ARDIO Caribe comes with an extremely reliable Miyota 9039 movement, which can be hand-wound and will also wind by the movement of your wrist.

If the watch has been unworn long enough to wind down and stop, we recommend you wind the watch as follows:

1. Unscrew the crown until you feel the spring lightly pop it outward. This is called the "A" position. Please note that the watch should not be worn or stored in this position; it is only meant for winding and setting the time.

2. Gently turn the crown clockwise about 20 rotations. You will see the movement begin to work.

3. Gently pull the crown outward until you feel a click. This is called the "B" position.

4. Gently rotate the crown counter-clockwise to advance the hands forward and set the time.

5. Push the crown back into the "A" position, and then press it further so that the crown contacts the threads of the case. You can now tighten the crown to the case by screwing it in clockwise. Be sure to tighten the crown securely to protect against dust and water.

Timing Accuracy

The ARDIO Caribe comes with a Miyota 9039 which has the accuracy of -10 ~ +30 seconds per day.

Please note that your watch should be at or close to fully wound to ensure the best accuracy. As a watch winds down toward the end of its power reserve, accuracy may decrease. Daily use of your watch is probably enough to keep it fully wound, however it depends on your level of movement each day.
